Captain Angus L. Kennedy was born in the Township of Cavan, Durham County, in 1854. He began sailing on the Wenonah in 1889 as mate, and sailed on the Muskoka lakes for four yeans as mate of the Kenosha.* During the tourist seasons he sailed on Lakes Nipissing and Muskoka. He has had the experience of sailing from Owen Sound to Port Arthur on the steamer Manitoba, and has had command of the combined paddle and screw steamer Wenonah for two seasons. His home is at Bunk's Falls. [*Read Kenozha, built by Melancthon Simpson at Gravenhurst in 1883. Register closed Oct. 1, 1918. Vessel destroyed by fire at Lake Joseph.]
