Mr. Oscar A. Burnside is one of the active young men of the Toronto Ferry Company. He was born in Collingwood in 1871. and there he was educated. Leaving school at twelve years of age he served his time as a salesman in a Collingwood establishment, staying there for five years. Then, in the spring of 1889, he came to Toronto and engaged with the Doty Ferry Company. The following season the Toronto Ferry Company bought out the Doty Company and Mr. Burnside transferred his allegiance to the new owners. He has been with the Toronto Ferry Company ever since. He is a single man.
