This port resembles Oakville in its construction, the piers being run out into deep water; the pond or basin within is large, and would accommodate a large fleet of schooners; the want of a dredge, however, renders it almost useless. This port is 12 miles S. W. by W. of Toronto, and 10 miles N. E. by N. of Oakville. LIGHTHOUSEThe lighthouse is on the E. pier, low and bad, and not even lighted with that regularity which the safety of vessels trading to the port absolutely demands.
