One and a half miles W. of Darlington is the high, perpendicular, and bluff clay point called Raby Head. Near the Lake it is destitute of trees or bushes, but farther back stands a farm house and barn, surrounded by several lofty poplars and other trees. Neither the buildings or the trees can be seen from the Lake when due south of Raby Head. Darlington is the Port of Bowmanville, from which it is distant two miles ; the Grand Trunk Railway Station is within half a mile of this thriving harbour. For Courses, &c., see Bond Head.
