Schooner Dan. Tindall, ashore at White Shoals; jettisoned 2,000 bushels and got off.

Bark Maria Martin, ashore on Mission Reef, Mackinaw Island; cargo coal; damaged seriously; jettisoned cargo and got off.

Bark J. P. Mack, ashore at Dunkirk; lost mainmast; got off.

Tug B. B. Jones, exploded at Port Huron; total loss with 8 lives.

A sailing yacht foundered at Cleveland, and three persons drowned.

Propeller Graves, lost a smokestack by collision on Lake Michigan.

Steamer Huron, burned at Beauharnois Canal; one life lost.

Schooner Seabird, collided with propeller Alaska in River St. Clair; former damaged seriously.

Tug Hero, broke her shaft in River St. Clair.

Schooner Cecelia, collided with Chicago bridge; lost mizzenmast and outfit.

A dredge scow capsized at Buffalo; total loss.

Scow O. T. Wilcox, cargo stoves, waterlogged off Cleveland; towed into that port.

Schooner H. C. Winslow, cargo of ore, sprung a leak and sunk at Marquette; raised.

Brig Helfenstein, cargo of ore, sprung a leak and sunk at Escanaba; got up.

Schooner Pioneer, sunk off Presque Isle, Lake Huron; a total loss.

Schooner Fearless, capsized off Mount Minery; captain and wife and child lost.

Bark Maitland, grain loaded, collided with schooner Golden Harvest in the Straits, and was immediately struck by schooner Mears and sunk; a total loss.

Schooner Golden harvest, dismantled by aforesaid collision.

Schooner Mears, also damaged by aforesaid collision.

Several pontoons broke adrift from a tug and lost on Lake Huron.

Canal boat Viola lost on Lake Erie, while in tow of propeller Michigan.

Tug W. A. Moore, capsized on Saginaw Bay while towing a raft; raised.

Steamer Victoria, burned at Lindsay, Lake Ontario; total loss, $12,000.

Capt. Smith's dredge burned on Saginaw River; total loss.

Schooner America, lost her main and mizzenmasts in a gale on Lower Ontario.

Schooner Barber, damaged by fire at Old Mackinaw.

Propeller Alex. Watson, burned at Lambton, River St. Clair; total loss.

Bark Sunnyside, lost main and mizzenmasts in a squall on Lake Huron.

Steamer J. B. Smith, broke her shaft on Detroit river.

Tug Torchlight, sunk by thieves below Houghton, Lake Superior; got up.

Schooner J. W. Nichols, collided with scow Enright at Cleveland; latter lost mainmast.

Schooner Anna Maria, jettisoned 50 tons of ore in a storm on Lake Huron.

Scow Christe, broke adrift from tug Williams, and went ashore at Manistee.

A raft, belonging to Evans, Kilmaster & Co., broke up on Saginaw Bay.

Schooner U. S. Grant, broke loose from a pier and went ashore on Lake Michigan; got off.

Propeller Maine, exploded near Ogdensburg; 4 persons killed.

Schooner Castalia, no cargo, ashore at Cove Island; total loss.

Schooner Wanderer, cargo of lumber, ran foul of schooner Collingwood and capsized, at Port Huron; got up.

Bark Lottie Wolf, partially dismasted and sails damaged ($800) on Lake Michigan.

Scow Seabird, lost foremast and had sails damaged $1,000 on Lake Michigan.

Scow Mendota, foremast and decks damaged by lightning on Lake Michigan.

Propeller City of Madison, ran foul of a dock at Chicago and damaged $500.

Scow J. B. Chapin, dismasted by squall at Milwaukee.

Scow J. M. Hill, her boat smashed by collision with schooner Sanborn, at Manistee.

Scow Fairy, cargo of wood, capsized off Cleveland; towed inside.

Steamer Sheridan, damaged by fire at Grand Haven.

Schooner Mary E. Burgoyne, burned at Hanford's Landing, Lake Ontario; total loss.

Scow Advance, cargo coal, sprung aleak and sunk near Green Island; total loss.

Tug Gen. Lyon, explodes at Sandusky, total loss.

Propeller J. Barber, burned on Lake Michigan; total loss, with 2 lives.

Bark Kate Darley, cargo coal, ashore in Straits; pulled off.

Scow Forest Hunter, sprung aleak and sunk at Port Huron; cause unknown.

Tug Little Eastern, lost a raft in Saginaw Bay.

Propeller Champlain, broke her machinery and put into Milwaukee.

Schooner Annie Vought, collided with bridge at Chicago, damage slight.

Schooner George Foote, cargo lumber, on Herson's Island; lightered off.

Propeller Mystic, broke her wheel at St. Joseph's Island; repaired at Detroit.

Schooner Melrose, lost an anchor by getting unshackled in Detroit river.

Schooner Free Democrat, lost jibboom and broke rudder head, near Sheboygan.

Brig Fanny Gardner, lost both anchors and sails going to Green Bay.

Schooner Excelsior, lost her small boat while on Lake Michigan.

Schooner Edward John, sprung aleak and sunk at Toronto; raised.

Schooner Albatross, lost portion of fit-out in a squall at Chicago.

Schooner Moselle, cargo lumber, ashore at Sand Point, Lake Michigan; lightered off.

Schooner Hinsdale and scow Celt, collide with propeller Philadelphia at Milwaukee.

Tug J. C. Morse, broke her engine on Lake Superior; towed into port.

Scow Niblack, struck a pile and sunk at Sheboygan; raised.

Schooner Queen of the West, collided with schooner Surprise at Menominee.

Schooner Harvest Queen, ashore near Kingston; got off, grain damaged.

Schooner Monticello, collided with schooner C. G. Mixer, at Kingston; both damaged.

Steamer Marine City, rudder disabled; a new one supplied at Detroit.

Propeller R. G. Coburn, rudder disabled; a new one supplied at Detroit.

Propeller Union, aground three days on Saginaw bar; lightered.

Bark Lottie Wolf, cargo plaster, sunk at Milwaukee; raised.

Schooner Summit, sprung aleak on Lake Michigan, and arrives at Racine.

Schooner Toledo, damaged severely by collision at Milwaukee.

Scow D. R. Owen, carried away centreboard on Lake Michigan.

Schooner Harrison, run foul of Milwaukee dock, and damaged her bows.

Schooner S. J. Holly, broke her windlass while weighing anchor at Milwaukee.

Scow Sinai, lost her foremast and arrives at Luddington, Lake Michigan.

Bark British Lion and schooner Sasco collide at Point au Pellee; both damaged.

Schooner Regina, cargo corn, ashore at Goderich; got off; grain damaged.

Propeller barge D. F. Rose, broke machinery and repaired at Detroit.

Schooner St. Paul, damaged in hull and fit-out by collision at Toledo.

Schooner Ardent, damaged in main rigging by collision at Milwaukee.

Scow Forest, dismasted near Port Huron by collision with U. S. steamer Michigan.

Schooner Mary Collins, lost anchor and chain at Bar Point, Lake Erie.

Tug D. W. Rice, broke machinery and towed into Chicago.

Schooner Bridgewater, damaged in hull and outfit at the Flats by collision.

Bark C. K. Nims, ashore at Point au Pellee; lightered off.

Schooner Aldebaran, damaged slightly by tug Jones' explosion.*

Tug Bismarck, a hole knocked in her at Milwaukee.

Schooner Young America, cargo coal, sprung aleak, and was towed to Cleveland.

Propeller barge R. J. Hackett, grounded on River St. Clair and detained several days.

Schooner Conquest, lost foretopmast in a squall at Milwaukee.

Schooner Clara Parker, lost jibboom by heavy weather on Lake Michigan.

Schooner Flying Mist, ashore on Wellington Bay; grain damaged.

Schooner Monterey, cargo grain, ashore in Straits; lightered.

Propeller Dean Richmond, grounded and detained 24 hours at St. Clair Flats.

Bark Acorn, cargo timber, ashore at Salmon Point; lightered.

Schooner St. Andrew, cargo timber, ashore at Port Colborne; lightered.

A sloop capsized off Michigan City and one man drowned.

Propeller Alaska, disabled by feed pipe in Lake St. Clair.
