Our December meeting easily made up for the November disappointment, as Ron Beaupre presented Part II of his "Ship(wreck)s of the Saugeen". We were treated to a wealth of material, including a fascinating series of photos, and we thank Ron for his kindness in preparing this programme for us. As we begin a new year, we extend grateful thanks to our regular correspondents and phone-callers who kept us so well supplied with news and historical data during 1987. We cannot name them all here, for fear of leaving someone out, but we hope that all of you who contributed will know how very much we appreciate your efforts. We look forward to your continued support in 1988, for participation is what makes T.M.H.S. and its publication work. To the rest of you, won't you please help too? We cannot promise a personal reply to each note, but we'll appreciate its contents just the same! In the New Member Department, a hearty welcome goes out to W. J. Hawkins and to Capt. John Duffield, both of St. Catharines, to Karl Kriegeskotte of Mt. Kisco, N.Y., to Terry Beahen of Ottawa, to Mel Feather of Owen Sound, to George Lee of Port Lambton and to Clayton Healey of Brockville. And apologies to Paul Douglas Berry of Peterborough, whose name we erroneously reported last issue as "B. T. Douglas".
