A large turnout for the March Meeting enjoyed a most interesting slide and film presentation by David Bull. We were fascinated by his views aboard a number of well-known vessels, some of them now gone from the scene. David's programme had been postponed from an earlier date but was well worth the wait. THE ANNUAL DINNER MEETING will be held at the Ship Inn on Saturday, May 10. Dinner will be served at 7:00 p.m. and the bar will open early for those wishing a restorative before the meal. Our speaker will be Lorne S. Joyce, who will present a fun evening of memories of ships which have been featured in the pages of "Scanner". Tickets are $18.00 and guests are welcome. Space is limited, and reservations may be secured by directing early remittance to our Chief Purser, William R. Wilson, 173 Glenrose Avenue, Toronto, Ontario M4T 1K7. Reserved tickets will be held at the door. We hope that you will plan to join us for what promises to be a most enjoyable evening. Please Note: Reservations, accompanied by payment, must be received by Tuesday, May 6th. We regret that there can be no refunds after that date, and that tickets will not be sold at the door, for we must guarantee numbers to the Inn well in advance of the dinner. In the New Member Department, a hearty welcome goes out to Ronald Walsh of Amherstview, Ontario, and to the Huronia Museum of Midland.
