The February Meeting featured our annual theme slide show. The theme this year was "A Tale of Smoke" and our members produced many interesting slides on this subject. Our thanks to all who participated, and especially to Roger Chapman, who served as projectionist for the evening. THE ANNUAL DINNER MEETING will be held at the Ship Inn, in the Museum, on Saturday, May 12th. Dinner will be served at 7:00 p.m. and the bar will be open earlier for those wishing a restorative before dinner. Guest speaker will be Mr. M. S. Campbell, P.Eng., regional vice-president of the St. Lawrence Seaway, Western Division, who will speak to us about some interesting physical aspects of the Welland Canal. The cost of the dinner will be $ 17 per person and guests will be welcome. Please send your early remittance to our treasurer, William R. Wilson, 173 Glenrose Avenue, Toronto, Ontario M4T 1K7. Tickets will be held at the door for those who have reserved. Please Note: The capacity of the restaurant is limited and we have a deadline for confirming the number that will attend. All reservations, accompanied by payment, must be received no later than Tuesday, May 8. We regret that there can be no refunds after that date, and that tickets will not be sold at the door. We ask that you reserve early to ensure that there will be space held for you and your party. This evening is always a most enjoyable occasion, and we hope that you will plan on joining us. In the New Member Department, a hearty welcome goes out to Gerald F. Steele of St. Catharines, to Don Martin of Brockville, to Viktor Kaczkowski of Toronto, to Gerard F. Kapes of Davison, Michigan, and to Barney G. Adam of Port McNicoll.
