It is with much sadness that we report the passing, in late August, of Capt. James D. Wellington of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Jim had been a longtime friend of the Toronto Marine Historical Society and of many of its members. He will be remembered not only for his many years spent aboard the ferry SUGAR ISLANDER at Little Rapids Cut but also for his activities around the lakes on various tugs.

We will miss Jim and we extend our deepest sympathy to his wife and family.
